New safety guidelines and Covid policies

Important Info about spring classes 2021

Lower School (2 year old - 1st grade) safety procedures and new policies

Our spring session will look different than it normally does due to new health safety guidelines. In an effort to keep all our dance families healthy we will be limiting class sizes and adding time between classes for transitions and cleaning. We know that many of you have been patiently waiting for your child to dance again. In hopes to offer as many dancers as possible a chance to take class we have decided to offer two six week sessions in the spring. The first six week session will be Jan 11th -Feb 19th. The second six week session will be Feb 22nd – April 5th. The second six weeks has one additional week because it included the week of spring break, which there will be no classes that week.

Masks are not mandatory for 2 year old – 1st grade dancers. There are air purifiers in each class room. Water fountains are closed. If your dancer would like water during class, they will need to bring their own water bottle. All dancers need to come to class dressed and ready for class. The waiting rooms will remain closed and all adults/siblings will need not be permitted inside at this time. There will be a drop off point at the bottom of the stairs. We are asking that one parent from each class sign up to be the “class helper”. No worries, no dancing required of the class helper. The adult class helper will meet/gather all the dancers in their child’s class downstairs and walk them upstairs to class. The class helper will remain upstairs (outside the classroom) to walk dancers to the restroom if needed. When class is over, the class helper will walk the dancers back downstairs to their parents. The class helper will need to wear a mask while interacting with others. After registration is complete, we will send out an email with more information and a link to sign up for class helper.

We are asking for 100% transparency with any illness concerning dancers or family members. We will be taking temperatures upon arrival. If a dancer or family member tests positive for Covid-19, we ask that you notify us immediately. We will then notify all dancers in the class of the possible exposure and ask that they quarantine for the appropriate 14 days. We will switch to Zoom until the instructor and students have been cleared. We realize that even with all these safety procedures in place there is a chance your dancer could come into contact with Covid 19. Therefore, we will be asking you to sign a liability waiver during registration.

Spring Showcase -  At the end of the six week session, each class will have their own showcase on the basketball court. Your child will receive a tutu to wear, which they will be able to keep. You will be invited to come to showcase at the end of the last class to watch your dancer perform.

Tuition - We are rolling the tuition and fees into one easy payment. The two year old class is $80. All 3 year old – 1st grade classes will be $100.  If you have two or more dancers in your family, each additional class will be $75. This one time payment will be made at the time of registration.

Registration will start Wednesday, Dec 2nd at 9:00am for returning families (any dancer that took a class during the 2019-2020 dance year). New family’s registration will start Monday, Dec 7th at 9:00am. For more info about registration click here.

Upper School (2nd -10th grade) safety procedures and policies

We will be spreading out classes and limiting the number of dancers to make sure we have small classes. We will have time in between classes to wipe down barres and surfaces to allow for a clean classroom environment and for instructors to wash their hands. There will be air purifiers for both classrooms. All 2nd - 10th grade dancers will wear a mask while at the studio. The water fountain will be closed and the bathrooms will be for emergency use only. Dancers will be required to come fully dressed for class and with their own water bottle. There will not be congregating in the halls before or after class. Both waiting rooms will be closed. Students will wait outside, upstairs until they are called in to the classroom.

We are asking for 100% transparency with any illness concerning dancers or family members. Therefore, we will be asking you to sign a liability waver during registration.

The registration fee of $30 will be non-refundable. The spring session is 4 months (16 weeks). Tuition payments will be monthly (due on the 14th of each month) and are non-refundable. We will require a 30 day written notice if you need to withdraw for any reason. Your child will not be withdrawn (even if they need to stop coming to class) until the end of the 30 days and you will be responsible for any tuition payments during that time.
